Though it's usually the adventure touring crowd that excels at turning their
motorcycles into rolling technology test-beds, we've recently run across a
Yamaha Vino scooter that has been fully farkled. Featuring an on-board
computer based around a VIA mini ITX form factor motherboard that's cleverly
been hidden under the stock Vino's seat, this rolling geek-mobile packs in
WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, GPS, FM radio, a TV tuner and a front-mounted camera in
its diminutive frame. With the full-spec computer, pretty much anything should
be possible right from the road using this scooter. While this is certainly a
cool project, we have a few questions regarding its durability. How long will
the acrylic plate that makes the structure for the computer hold up? Perhaps
most importantly, how long will the scooter's battery be able to power all
this technology? In the name of science, of course, we graciously offer our
services for a road trip on the machine to find the answer to these all-

Do you delight in racing motorcycles or do you merely enjoy the excitement of taking a fast motorcycle out for a drive? Initially introduced in 1985, the Yamaha VMAX is accepted as one of the fastest motorcycles available on the market. The bike is ideal for encountered bikers who appreciate exhilarating speeds when they go out for a ride. The VMAX is a heavier bike that is very well known and represents the best when it comes to speed.
The V-Boost, which can boost the power to 800 RMP, is its most amazing feature. Butterfly valves divide the four down shaft carburetors which deliver fuel to the cylinders. Currently the V-Boost supplies a horsepower that is unequaled by other hot rod bikes on the market. The V-Boost also gives VMAX swift and smooth acceleration. The first VMAX were built with a V4 1200 CC engine, 145 HP, and V-Boost and was solely available in the United States. A slower product, giving 104 HP, was introduced by Yamaha to Europe and France in 1986. The European bikes sadly lacked the formidable V-Boost. The motorcycle was first unveiled in Japan in 1990 with the slight customization of an integrated digital electronic ignition.
As Europe began to enact tough noise restrictions, the European model was changed. So in 1996 there was a move to a black exhaust system by Yamaha, which unfortunately wasn't very well received by bike owners, consequently the chrome design was back in 1998. But not all bike riders like the power of the VMAX, the many members of the VMAX Owners Association are extremely satisfied with their bikes. The Association organizes diverse rallies and races for their multitude of members. With the speed of the VMAX providing a distinct advantage or competitors, the bike it is also highly regarded with drag racers. Modified VMAX motorcycles have been able to push speeds of more than 200 MPH in a quarter mile at major competitions.
Since it was unveiled in 1985 the Yamaha VMAX has become a hot selling motorcycle. The bike features a powerful design, with the black and chrome color creating a muscular look. Some individuals look at this as a rather dull color scheme to be its own fault. Many have solved this by adding their own personalized touches to make their bike unique. They have decided to include such items as different mirrors, decals, and many other distinctive features Another thing that has been done by a lot of VMAX owners is to switch the original seat with a more comfortable one. Because the most desirable aspect of the bike is its power, adding these unique touches is not difficult.
For around 20 years the Yamaha VMAX has been known as the hottest muscle bike on the planet. This specific bike is a top achiever in terms of how it performs as well as how it looks but it's very much a bike for experienced bikers.
